

Gail Henry has been appointed to the Caribbean Tourism Organization (CTO) as Sustainable Tourism Product Specialist effective February 24, 2009. She steps in for Mareba Scott who left the organization at the end of her term in November.
Gail Henry is a tourism specialist with many years of experience, having been Head of the Advisory Unit of the Minister and Senior Tourism Advisor in her country of birth, Trinidad and Tobago. In that role, Gail Henry had the responsibility of sustaining tourism and dealing with tasks such as tourism policy and project development and management, as well as developing programs.
Henry has also conducted several studies on sustainable tourism such as reinvigorating declining tourist locations, strategic planning and tourism policy development for different destinations.
Gail Henry is a University of the West Indies (UWI) graduate where she earned an MBA. She also completed an MSc in Tourism Marketing at the University of Surrey in the United Kingdom with honors, a program for which the CTO Foundation granted her a scholarship in 2007.
Gail Henry will lead the Caribbean Tourism Organization's agenda to create and deliver an annual schedule of activities which aim to enhance the popularity of Caribbean real estate and quality and integrity of Caribbean tourism.
